Podiatry

A Podiatrist is a health professional who deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical, biomechanical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limb. Podiatry practice includes:

  • Treatment of regular foot complaints – Heel pain, forefoot injuries, bunions, flat feet, knock knees, neuroma, shin splints and foot related back pain
  • Sports Medicine Injuries and Gait Analysis
  • Diabetes – and other high risk patients
  • Arthritic feet
  • Podopaediatrics – problems associated with the development of children’s feet
  • Ingrown toe nails – either conservatively or surgically via the use of local anaesthetic
  • Corns, calluses
